Gagne the Generous

While listening to the Pirates vs. Brewers game last night, I learned that Milwaukee relief pitcher, Eric Gagne, bought 5000 tickets for last night's game to "give" to fans. A great gesture! I applaud him for that.

I don't mean to be pessimistic, but this just illustrates the state of the game (as a business) today... fans still had pay a $2 fee to print the "Gagne Giveaway" tickets at home or a $4 fee to pick up the tickets at the Miller Park will call booth.

It just follows business in general, each household will cough up between $7K-$8K apiece to bail out companies that sent their CEO's packing with between $5M-$66M!
