I am always on the lookout for throwbacks, guys who play the game like they are from another generation. In today's game, one sign of this is simply not wearing batting gloves. I can only think of a few current major league players who do not wear them while at the plate:
1. Jason Kendall
2. Doug Mientkiewicz
3. Vladimir Guerrero
4. Jorge Posada (hat tip to a reader for this one)
5. Corey Patterson (man... this post just went downhill)
If you know of any others please add them to the list by leaving a comment.

Jorge Posada doesn't wear them either
Thanks anon... I'll add him to the list.
Corey Patterson..... but you really don't have to count him if you don't want to.
In addition to not using gloves,I think Corey Patterson quit using a bat as well.
floyd wins
I think Coco Crisp and Moises Alou go gloveless. Doug Mirabelli did too, but I don't believe anyone ever picked him up after the BoSox cut him this year.
Ron,
You're defintely right on Alou. He used to urinate on his hands to toughen the skin - something with the acid. I'm not sorry to say that I haven't tested it out.
