Hyzdu Headquarters has a nice most on new Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate, Charleston, West Virginia.
Charleston has a great baseball tradition. I've yet to see a game at the new Appalachian Power Park because, to be honest, I'm still a little bitter about the way that Watt Powell was leveled into a parking lot. I also hate the team name, "West Virginia Power." I might actually put those hostilities aside this summer and go catch a game since Charleston is affiliated with a local team again.

i still get a little sick when i think about what happened w/ Watt Powell Park. it was the perfect venue for baseball in WV, what with the coal trains periodically passing behind the wall in center and left.
Torgo Jr.,
You're right. Dave Parker was one of my favorite players growing up because of the stories of him hitting a homerun into one of those passing trains at Watt-Powell.

You've got some interesting stories about Parker :)
I kind of hope my brother moves back to Cincy just in hopes of more Dave Parker stories.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
