Casilla demoted for lack of hustle

No hustle, no play. That's the philosophy of Twins manager Ron Gardenhire. Lack of hustle is one of the reasons why Alexi Casilla was sent down to Triple-A Rochester.
"Pop fly and ran with the bat all the way to first base, not really running. And that's just not acceptable," Gardenhire said. "It's just not the way we play the game. Especially after the night before, not running when he bunted a ball."
I've got a lot of respect for the way the Twins play ball. Gardenhire is consistently on the top of my list for the best managers in baseball. His teams play the game right and that's why the Twins are always in the hunt for division titles regardless of who they run out there on the field. Minnesota is the epitome of a great small-market organization.

I wish other organizations and managers had the guts to do this to their players when they didn't hustle. There would be less egos, better teams (not collections of players), and baseball would be a lot more fun to watch.
